Cotoneaster acutifolius, also known as the Peking cotoneaster, is a flowering plant belonging to the Rosaceae family. It is found in southern Siberia, Mongolia, and most parts of China, and has been introduced to Canada, northern United States, and northern Europe. This shrub can grow up to 2-4 meters tall and is commonly found in various habitats. Some experts believe that Cotoneaster lucidus, or the shiny cotoneaster, is a synonym of Cotoneaster acutifolius.

Germination/Propagation Top

Suggest a correction or add new data!
Expose seeds to natural outdoor winter conditions for 3 months, then gradually increase light and temperature in the spring.
Requires Scarification: Scarification involves physically breaking, scratching, or softening the seed coat to allow water absorption and germination to occur. This can be done by nicking the seed coat with a knife or rubbing the seeds between sheets of sandpaper.
