Rhamnus lanceolata, also known as the lanceleaf buckthorn, is a shrub species belonging to the buckthorn family, Rhamnaceae. It is native to about 20 states in the south-central and midwestern regions of the United States. This species is currently classified into two subspecies: Rhamnus lanceolata subsp. glabrata and Rhamnus lanceolata subsp. lanceolata. Not much is known about its range, habitat, ecology, and etymology, but further research is being conducted.
