Pomaderris tropica is a shrub species that is part of the Rhamnaceae family and is found exclusively on Walshs Pyramid in north Queensland. It has soft, hairy branchlets, egg-shaped to elliptic leaves, and clusters of white to cream-colored flowers. The shrub can reach a height of 2-3 meters and its leaves are covered in velvety and star-shaped hairs. The flowers bloom from August to November and have oblong sepals but no petals. This species was first described in 1951 and is found in narrow crevices between rocks on Walshs Pyramid. It is currently classified as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
