Celtis caucasica, commonly known as the Caucasian hackberry or Caucasian nettle tree, is a species of flowering plant native to the Caucasus region, Central Asia, and the western Himalaya. It is hardy to USDA zone 5b and is tolerant of poor soils, drought, and nearby paving, making it a suitable choice for street trees. It is a nitrogen-fixer, meaning it is able to form a symbiotic relationship with the mycorrhizal fungi Funneliformis mosseae and Rhizophagus intraradices.
