Ranunculus paucifolius, also known as the Castlehill buttercup, is a rare type of buttercup found in New Zealand. Due to its limited distribution and declining population, it is classified as an endangered species. This plant has few leaves and produces bright yellow flowers, making it a unique and beautiful addition to the New Zealand flora. Efforts are being made to protect and conserve this species to prevent its extinction.
