Anemone thomsonii is a species of flowering plant in the buttercup family, found in the highlands of East Africa. It is a geophyte with finely divided leaves and a stem that carries a single flower with white or light pink sepals. The plant is limited to the highlands of East Africa and was first described by Daniel Oliver in 1885, named after Joseph Thomson's successful plant collecting mission. It is known to grow in Tanzania and Kenya, specifically on Mount Hanang, Kilimanjaro, Aberdare Range, and Mount Kenya.
