Epimedium pubigerum, commonly known as hairy barrenwort, is a species in the family Berberidaceae. It is native to southeastern Bulgaria and the Transcaucasus region of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. It grows up to 45 cm tall and has heart-shaped, evergreen leaves that are purplish bronze when young and dark glossy green when mature. In spring, sprays of creamy white or pink flowers are held high above the leaves by their long stems. It prefers a sheltered position away from cold winds and flourishes in the shady, fertile conditions of deciduous woodland.
