Spatalla nubicola, also known as the Medusa spoon, is a rare flower-bearing shrub native to the Western Cape of South Africa. It grows up to 1.5 meters tall and flowers from September to December. The plant is bisexual and pollinated by insects, and the ripe seeds are spread by ants. It is found in the central Langeberg near the town of Heidelberg, growing on the upper, southern slopes in peaty soil at 1600 meters. It is listed as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
