Persoonia juniperina, also known as prickly geebung, is a small shrub native to south-eastern Australia. It has smooth bark, linear leaves, and yellow flowers that bloom from December to February. The fruit is an oval, yellowish green to purplish drupe. This plant was first described in 1805 by French naturalist Jacques Labillardière. There are four accepted varieties of P. juniperina, and it belongs to the lanceolata group within the genus Persoonia. It is found in Tasmania, New South Wales, Victoria, and southeastern South Australia, in habitats such as sclerophyll forest and heath. A study showed that cross-pollination leads to greater fruit production in this species.
