Leucadendron coniferum, also known as the dune conebush, is a dioecious shrub or small tree found in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It has yellow leaves and flowers that bloom in August and September. The plant is pollinated by small beetles and its seeds are dispersed by wind. It is sensitive to fire and its population has declined due to habitat loss from human activities. The cones of this plant are sometimes used in potpourri.
