Leucadendron burchellii, also known as the Riviersonderend conebush, is a shrub that produces flowers and is part of the fynbos vegetation in the Western Cape of South Africa. It grows up to 1.6 meters tall and blooms in August. After a fire, the plant dies but its seeds survive and are dispersed by ants. The plant has separate male and female flowers, which are pollinated by small beetles. It is commonly referred to as the Riviersonderend-tolbos in Afrikaans and is found in the Riviersonderend Mountains at altitudes of 800 to 1,000 meters. It prefers rocky or sandy sandstone soils on northern slopes.
