Isopogon axillaris is a shrub endemic to the south-west region of Western Australia. It belongs to the Proteaceae family and has thick, linear to lance-shaped leaves and oval heads of pink or purple flowers. It typically grows to a height of 0.4-1.2m and has glabrous, brown branchlets. The flowers are arranged in leaf axils and bloom from July to October. This plant is not considered threatened and can be found in wet or swampy areas from Karridale to Albany. It was first described in 1810 by Robert Brown in the Transactions of the Linnean Society of London.
