Banksia prolata subsp. calcicola is a subspecies of the plant Banksia prolata, previously known as Dryandra longifolia subsp. calcicola. In 2007, it was reclassified under the genus Banksia by Austin Mast and Kevin Thiele. This was due to the merging of all Dryandra species into Banksia. As the name Banksia longifolia was already taken, a new specific epithet was chosen for this subspecies. Like other members of Banksia ser. Dryandra, it is found only in the South West Botanical Province of Western Australia.
