Banksia plagiocarpa, also known as Dallachy's blue banksia, is a species of shrub or tree found only on Hinchinbrook Island and the adjacent mainland in Queensland, Australia. It was first collected in 1867 but not described until 1981. Genetic studies show it is related to other Banksia species. It grows up to 5 meters tall with greyish bark and has long, narrow leaves with serrated edges. Its flower spikes, appearing from February to July, are surrounded by small branchlets. It is listed as "vulnerable" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act and is commonly grown in horticulture for its unique blue-grey buds and red new growth.
