Banksia hirta is a shrub species that is found only in Western Australia, specifically in the Stirling Range National Park. It has hairy stems, deeply serrated leaves, and pale yellow flowers that grow in clusters of about one hundred. The plant is typically 2 meters tall and does not form a lignotuber. It was first described in 1996 and was later transferred to the Banksia genus in 2007. Banksia hirta is found in rocky shrubland and woodland in the central and western parts of the Stirling Range. It is considered a species of low conservation concern, with only a few known locations and no immediate threats to its survival.
