Setaria megaphylla, also known as broad-leaved bristle grass, is a plant native to south-eastern Africa. It is also grown in other regions and has become naturalized in places like Florida in the United States. This grass can be found in glades within forests and along rivers and streams. It can reach heights of over 2 meters and has wide, dark green leaves with hairy sheaths. The seeds of this plant are a food source for various birds, including finches and canaries.
