Schmidtia pappophoroides, also known as the perennial Kalahari sand grass, is a type of grass found in southern and western Africa, as well as the Cape Verde. It belongs to the Poaceae family and has various names in different languages, such as ǀkhurub in Khoekhoe and beye-ǁxui-doa in Juǀ'hoan. This grass is commonly used for thatching roofs and is also a valuable source of fodder in Namibia.
