Hackelochloa granularis, also known as pitscale grass, is a type of grass that is found in sub-Saharan Africa and various regions in Asia. It has also been introduced to parts of the Southern United States, Mexico, and South America. This annual plant can grow up to 5-100 cm in length and has bearded nodes on its stems. Its leaves are 2-5 cm long and 4-12 mm wide, with hairs on the surface and edges. The shape of the leaves can vary from straight to lance-shaped.
