Agrostis tolucensis is a species of grass found in South America, the United States, and Mexico. It is a perennial, caespitose grass with culms 8–32 cm long and 0.5 mm wide. Its leaf-blades are erect, filiform, conduplicate, 5–10 cm long and 0.7–13 mm wide, with ribbed surfaces. The panicle is 3–10 cm long and 0.3–0.8 cm wide, inflorescenced, linear, and spiciform. The spikelets are elliptic, 2.3–3.6 mm long, and carry filiformed pedicels 0.5–3 mm long and scabrous. The glumes are purple, oblong, membranous, have no lateral veins, and have acute apexes. The plant is found growing at elevations of 2,500–5,000 m in Bolivia, and is also found in the United States, Mexico, and South America.
