Juncus tiehmii, also known as Nevada rush, is a small annual herb found in the western United States. It grows in wet areas with granite sand substrate, such as riverbanks and barren seeps. This plant forms dense clumps of thin stems that reach a maximum height of 6 centimeters. Its inflorescence consists of one to seven tiny flowers on each stem, with greenish to pink or red segments that are no more than 3 millimeters long.
