Juncus nevadensis, also known as Sierra rush, is a rhizomatous perennial herb found in wet areas across western North America. It has thin, smooth stems that can grow up to 70 centimeters tall and green leaves up to 30 centimeters long. The inflorescences contain multiple flowers with dark to light brown tepals, six stamens, and long stigmas. The fruit is a shiny chestnut brown capsule. This species is found in a variety of habitats and is native to regions from British Columbia to New Mexico.
