Juncus bryoides, also known as moss rush or mosslike dwarf rush, is a small annual herb found in western North America. It grows in wet, sandy areas and has thin, erect stems that reach a maximum height of 2 centimeters. The plant produces a single flower with reddish segments that wrap around the developing fruit. This species is commonly found in Oregon and Baja California.
