Cyperus hillebrandii subsp. hillebrandii and Cyperus hillebrandii subsp. longispicatus
Cyperus hillebrandii, also known as Hillebrand's flatsedge, is a type of sedge found only in Hawaii. It was first identified by botanist Johann Otto Boeckeler in 1880 and has two subspecies: Cyperus hillebrandii subsp. hillebrandii and Cyperus hillebrandii subsp. longispicatus. This plant is unique to the Hawaiian islands and is an important part of the local ecosystem.
