It is a perennial plant that grows in wetland habitats, such as marshes, swamps, and along the banks of rivers and streams. It has a long, slender stem that can reach up to 1.5 meters in height, and its leaves are bright green and have a distinctive triangular shape. The plant produces small, yellow-green flowers in the summer months, and its fruits are small, brown, and nut-like.
