Cyperus blepharoleptos, also known as Cuban bulrush, is a sedge plant found in the Americas, Caribbean Islands, and Africa. It was named by Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel in 1854 and can grow up to 0.91 meters in height. The plant has triangular stems, narrow ribbon-like leaves, and a spherical inflorescence at the top. The heads contain reddish-brown spiral spikelets and the fruit is an olive nutlet. This species is commonly found in wetland areas and is an important part of the ecosystem.
