Bolboschoenus maritimus, also known as sea clubrush, is a flowering plant found in wetland habitats around the world. It is commonly found in temperate and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and various islands. This species is a halophyte, meaning it thrives in saline environments, and is often found along the northern coast of the North and Baltic Sea, as well as in coastal areas of Europe and inland regions of Poland and Pannonia. However, due to human activities such as land reclamation and livestock grazing, B. maritimus is disappearing from its historical range.
