is a cultivar of Puya mirabilis with a compact form and bright yellow flowers.
Puya mirabilis is a species of Bromeliad native to Bolivia. It grows as an evergreen, perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 1 to 1.5 meters with its inflorescence. Its leaves are divided into leaf sheath and leaf blade, with the white to brownish, relatively thick, durable leaf sheath being 3 to 4 centimeters wide and egg-shaped with a length and width of 3 to 4 centimeters with a finely toothed edge. The inflorescence is upright, strong, and simple, with green to gray-scaled sepals that are 5 to almost 6 centimeters long and about 1 centimeter wide. The flowers are greenish-yellow and bare, and the capsule fruits contain many seeds. There is also a cultivar of Puya mirabilis called 'Poseidon's Trident' which has a compact form and bright yellow flowers.
