Aechmea kuntzeana is a species of plant that belongs to the Aechmea genus and is found only in eastern Bolivia. It was first identified and named by Carl Christian Mez in 1896. This perennial plant can grow up to 1-1.5 meters in height and has simple, spatulate leaves with serrated margins and parallel venation. It produces spikes of green tubular flowers and berries. Aechmea kuntzeana thrives in sunny to partially shaded areas with moist soil, preferably sandy, loamy, or clayey. It is important to note that this plant can only survive in temperatures above 1ºC, otherwise its growth and survival may be compromised.
