Aechmea distichantha, commonly known as the Brazilian vaseplant or vase plant, is a bromeliad native to Brazil, northern Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay. It is often used as an ornamental plant and has several cultivars, including Aechmea 'Chantichantha', Aechmea 'Dawson', Aechmea 'Distibachii', Aechmea 'Pacifica', and × Neomea 'Flame'. It is typically found in Cerrado vegetation and can grow as an epiphyte.
