Peperomia vinasiana is a type of plant that can grow on other plants or rocks, known as an epiphyte or lithophyte. It was first described by Casimir de Candolle and is found in wet tropical areas. The name "Vinasiana" comes from the district of Juan Viñas in Costa Rica, where it is endemic. The leaves are heart-shaped with nine nerves and the plant produces long catkins and oval berries. It has erect branches and leathery texture. This species is closely related to Peperomia Aguacatensis, but can be distinguished by its smaller leaves and shorter catkins.
