Peperomia veraguana is a newly discovered species of epiphyte from the genus Peperomia. It was first identified by Ricardo Callejas in 2020 and is named after the region of Veraguas in Panama where it was found. This plant is endemic to Panama and can be found at elevations of 700-1000 meters. It is commonly found in wet tropical biomes, specifically in the Santa Fe and Cerro Tute areas of Veraguas. This unique species adds to the diversity of plants found in Panama and highlights the importance of continued exploration and discovery in the natural world.
