Peperomia tarapotana is a flowering plant found in Peru, first described by Casimir de Candolle in 1866. Its name is derived from the location where the first specimens were collected, Tarapoto. This plant is unique in its asymmetrical, glabrous, and pellucid characteristics, with 10 veins and axillary, terminal 3-5 approaching leaves. It is stoloniferous, with a small 0.14 cm-long petiole and a 0.12 cm-long leaf edge.
