Peperomia tamboana is a flowering plant found in wet tropical regions, first described by Truman G. Yuncker in 1950. Its name is derived from the location where the first specimens were collected, Tambo. This species is native to Colombia and is typically found at an altitude of 1100 meters in the Southwest region of Tambo.
