Elaeocarpus thelmae is a tree species that is native to north-east Queensland and belongs to the Elaeocarpaceae family. It can grow up to 35 meters in height and has buttress roots at the base of its trunk. The leaves are elliptic to egg-shaped with hairy domatia and serrated edges. The flowers are densely hairy and grow in groups of five to ten. The fruit is a blackish, oval drupe and is present from July to October. This species was first described in 1984 and is found in rainforests at altitudes of 400-1,200 meters. It is listed as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
