Ackama paniculosa, also known as the soft corkwood, is a rainforest tree found in eastern Australia. It can grow up to 40 meters tall and has a distinctive soft corky bark. Its leaves are grouped in fives or sevens and have a toothed edge. Creamy white flowers bloom in November and the fruit is a red capsule containing oval flattened seeds. The species has a complex nomenclatural history, but it was correctly named Ackama paniculosa in 2013. It is commonly found in riverine, tropical, and subtropical rainforests, as well as in the ecotone of eucalyptus and rainforests.
