Nymphaea candida J. Presl is a species of aquatic herbaceous perennial plant in the genus Nymphaea. It is native to Eurasia and can be found in quiet freshwater habitats. This plant blooms from July to August and is often considered a subspecies of N. alba. It has rhizomes, 10-20 leaves, and a small white flower with a yellow center. The plant prefers to grow in water depths of 60-80 cm. It was originally discovered and described in 1882 by J. Presl and C. Presl. It has several synonyms, including Castalia biradiata, Castalia candida, and Leuconymphaea candida. Nymphaea candida can be found in ponds, lakes, and slow flowing streams.
