Epilobium nevadense is a rare and vulnerable flowering plant found in mountain ranges in Nevada, Utah, and northwestern Arizona. It grows on talus slopes at elevations between 5200 and 9000 feet and is closely related to the Snow Mountain willowherb. These two species have been observed to form infertile hybrids in cultivation and are classified under the same subsect. of the genus Epilobium. Despite its small and scattered populations, efforts are being made to protect and conserve this unique species.
