Clarkia xantiana, also known as gunsight clarkia, is a flowering plant found only in California. It has linear to lance-shaped leaves and produces both open flowers and closed buds. The petals are typically light to medium purple with a dark spot and have a unique shape with two lobes and a small tooth. This species is found in the southern Sierra Nevada and its foothills, as well as the adjacent Transverse Ranges.
