Thryptomene saxicola, also known as rock thryptomene, is a flowering plant that is native to the south-west region of Western Australia. It is a spreading shrub with small oval or egg-shaped leaves and pale pink flowers. This hardy plant is commonly grown in gardens and is known for its tolerance to frost. It can be propagated through cuttings and is available in various cultivars, including 'F.C. Payne', 'Minginew', 'Pink Lace', 'Seatonii', and 'Supernova'. It is often referred to as "Payne's hybrid" or Thryptomene paynei. This species was first described in 1832 and is commonly found on granite outcrops and hills in different biogeographic regions of Western Australia.
