Thryptomene naviculata is a unique species of flowering plant that belongs to the Myrtaceae family and can only be found in central areas of Western Australia. It is a small, rounded shrub with distinctive egg-shaped leaves and white flowers that have five petals and five stamens. This plant typically grows to about 1 meter in height and width and blooms between May and September. It was first described in 1980 by John Green and is commonly found in low, open shrubland on sand dunes in the Little Sandy Desert region of the Pilbara. The specific epithet, "naviculata", refers to the shape of the leaves, which resemble small boats.
