Thryptomene hyporhytis is a shrub found in the south-west region of Western Australia. It belongs to the Myrtaceae family and can grow up to 0.7 meters tall. The plant produces white or pink flowers from June to October. It was first described in 1862 by Nikolai Turczaninow in a scientific journal. The name of the species, hyporhytis, is derived from the Greek words meaning "under wrinkle", which refers to the ribbed floral cup.
