Syzygium samoense is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the Myrtaceae family. It is found in the Samoan Islands and Wallis and Futuna. This evergreen tree can reach a height of 17 meters and blooms in June and July, with fruits appearing from February to September. It is commonly found in lowland and cloud forests on the main Samoan islands at elevations ranging from 100 to 1200 meters.
