Melaleuca stenostachya, also known as fibre-barked teatree or straight teatree, is a plant in the myrtle family native to northern Australia and parts of Papua New Guinea. It is closely related to Melaleuca dealbata but can be distinguished by its widely spaced flowers. This large shrub or small tree has white to dark grey bark and long, narrow leaves covered in silky hairs. Its creamy-white flowers grow in spikes at the ends of branches and are followed by woody capsules. First described in 1968, this species is found in seasonal swamps and along creeks in a variety of soils.
