Melaleuca megalongensis, also known as Megalong Valley bottlebrush, is a shrub in the myrtle family that is native to New South Wales, Australia. It is often confused with another species, Melaleuca citrina, as they share similar characteristics. The shrub can grow up to 5 meters tall and has leaves that are 35-55mm long and 3.5-5mm wide. Its flowers are arranged in spikes and bloom in November and December, followed by woody capsules. This species was first described in 2009 and its name refers to the location where it is found. It is considered critically endangered and is found in damp areas near streams in the Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains.
