Melaleuca decussata, also known as cross-leaf honey-myrtle or totem poles, is a shrub in the myrtle family native to South Australia and naturalized in Victoria. It has a unique arrangement of leaves and produces pink or purple flowers that fade to white. The plant is considered an environmental weed in some areas and can form dense stands in native pastures. It is commonly grown in gardens for its attractive foliage, but caution should be taken when planting near wastewater pipes.
