Melaleuca calyptroides is a plant in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae, that is found only in the southwest region of Western Australia. It is similar to other melaleucas in the area, such as M. hollidayi, but can be distinguished by its longer, wartier leaves and fewer flowers. This small shrub has linear leaves with distinct oil glands and produces pink to purple flowers in the months of July to November. Its fruit is a woody capsule and is longer than those of other melaleucas. This plant was first described in 1999 and its name comes from the Greek word for "cover" or "conceal". It is found in heath, scrub, and shrubland in certain regions of Western Australia and is not considered threatened.
