Leptospermum oreophilum, also known as the rock tea tree, is a shrub found exclusively in the Glass House Mountains of southern Queensland. It has rough bark on older stems, elliptical leaves with a short, blunt tip, and large white flowers that grow individually on side shoots. The plant produces fruit that remains on the plant until it dies. It typically grows to a height of 1-2.5 meters and has small hairs on younger stems. The flowers bloom from September to December and the fruit is a capsule that remains on the plant until maturity. This species was first described in 1989 and its name comes from the Greek word for "mountain-loving", reflecting its preference for mountain-top habitats. It is classified as a vulnerable species under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992 and is found in rocky areas with shallow soil.
