Leptospermum neglectum is a shrub or small tree that is native to Queensland, Australia. It has elliptical leaves that are initially covered in silky hairs, white flowers that grow on short shoots in the leaf axils, and fruit with remnants of sepals that fall off after the seeds are released. It can grow up to 2 meters tall and has thin, fibrous bark on older stems. The flowers are white and about 8-11mm wide, with small bracts and bracteoles at the base. It mainly blooms in October and the fruit is a capsule that is 3-4mm in diameter. Leptospermum neglectum was first described in 1989 and is found in rocky areas and along the coast and ranges in Queensland. It is currently classified as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government Nature Conservation Act 1992.
