Leptospermum gregarium is a shrub species found only in eastern Australia. It has hairy young stems and egg-shaped to lance-shaped leaves. The flowers are white and grow singly or in pairs on short side branches, with a hairy floral cup and triangular sepals. It mainly blooms from November to December and its fruit remains on the plant when mature. This species is commonly found in dense stands in swamps or along rocky creeks in high altitude areas of northern New South Wales and south-eastern Queensland. It was first described in 1989 and its name refers to its tendency to grow in dense stands.
