Kunzea opposita is a plant native to eastern Australia and belongs to the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. It is a slender shrub with small leaves arranged in opposite pairs and pink flowers with long stamens. It is commonly found in woodland or on exposed cliffs. The plant can grow up to 3 meters in height and has fine hairs on its young stems. Its leaves are narrow and glabrous, while the flowers are arranged in groups of five to nine. The plant blooms from August to November and produces urn-shaped capsules as fruit. It was first described in 1867 by Ferdinand von Mueller and its name comes from the Latin word meaning "on the other side" or "contrary". Kunzea opposita is found in New South Wales and south-east Queensland.
